FAQ Research identified the need to track the debate to the source, where its impact is currently being most felt – the towns and farms of the Western Downs. Our field reporting team included: Director Mark Bahnisch, as interviewer and writer, Project & Comms Manager Pandora Karavan [also photographer] and film-maker David Granato. This is us photographed near Tara. Note the very sunburnt cameraman on the left!

The field trip at Jondaryan, where there was a major protest action. We then moved on to Dalby, and from there visited Cecil Plains, Tara, Chinchilla and other sites on the Western Downs. We  interviewed a wide range of people, from Senators to local politicians through farmers, activists and townsfolk. Many have intriguing and nuanced views on the Coal Seam Gas debate. We were blogging and tweeting from the road, and have produced video content to be published online between February 27th and March 23rd.
